JSS Mahavidhyapeetha
Jagadguri Sri Shivarathreeswara Mahavidyapeetha, popularly known as JSS Mahavidyapeetha (JSSMVP), was established during 1954 and has a history of about 1000 years. Jagadguru Dr. Shri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji was the architect and founder of J.S.S. Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru. The vision of His Holiness has triggered an educational revolution, which brought about an excellent blend of traditional culture and modern approach in education, leading to a network of over three hundred and fifty educational institutions in India and Abroad, propagating both cultural education and modern multi-disciplinary professional education. There are about 50,000 students enrolled in various institutions of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru. JSSMVP aims to strengthen the roots of our ancient knowledge, wisdom, culture and thereby develop the talents of students inorder to enhance social and economic advancement. The current pontiff of the Matt, His Holiness Jagadguru ShriShivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji carries forward the vision of Mahavidyapeetha in a very vibrant and positive outlook
His Leadership
Under his dynamic leadership and blessings many High School, several College of Arts & Science, Law and Commerce, Medical College [1], Dental College[1], Naturopathy & Yoga College [1], Ayurveda College [1], Pharmacy College [2], Engineering College [4], few Polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutions are foregoing ahead in their quest of ‘Education for all’
He also established the JSS Spiritual Mission – a public charitable organization, making an attempt to carry the Indian rich socio-cultural and spiritual heritage to all the corners of the world.
He, with his vision and enthusiasm, dedication and devotion to causes – dearer to his illustrious predecessors, has been the driving force promoting the cause of education through a large network of JSS educational system.
He is a saint involving himself in multifarious activities. A tireless person keeping himself always engaged with work. He is a progressive thinker and a zealous reformer. He is relentlessly striving to empower the Mahavidyapeetha to meet the challenge of the present century.
