Twenty second College Day celebrations of JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Coimbatore named Yuddhavarna was held on February 8th 2020. Dr. M. Palaniswamy, Registrar, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Deemed to be University, Coimbatore was invited as the Chief Guest. Smt. Thara Ramesh, Director, Narthanam School of Dance, Coimbatore was invited as the Guest of Honour. The College Day celebration began with invocation followed by a lighting lamp by the dignitaries by 5 p.m.
Dr. Selvameenakshi. T took the privilege of welcoming the entire gathering. The Annual report for the academic year 2018 – 2019 was elaborated by the Principal Prof. Dr. Naveen G. Halappa. The Souvenir for the academic year 2018 – 19 named Srishti was released by the dignitaries. Memorandum of understanding was signed between JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Coimbatore and Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore. Dr. M. Palaniswamy addressed the gathering with his confident and motivating speech to work more on the research aspects related to the system of Naturopathy and Yoga. Smt. Thara Ramesh through her address motivated the youngsters to involve themselves in dance and get freed from stress. The academic achievement awards for the academic year 2018-2019 were distributed. The best faculty award was bagged by Dr. M. Ezhil Ratnakumari. The best faculty article award was received by Dr. M. Ezhil Ratnakumari and Dr. Jincy Sundaran received the 2nd prize for best faculty article. The best internee award was received by Dr. M. Priyanka and the best student award was received by Ms. Anandhi. Mementos were presented to the faculty members.
The winners of the cultural competitions were awarded prizes and certificates. A few performances that stole the heart of the audience during culturals were presented by the students during the college day celebration which was a cultural retreat. The overall championship for sports was won by the team “Asgard Assassins”. The overall championship for culturals was won by the final year students. Dr. Preethi. K. S delivered the vote of thanks. The Masters of the programme were Ms. Azuma and Ms. Ashwathika. The programme was concluded by 8 p.m with National Anthem followed by grand dinner.
