Seventeenth Graduation Day was celebrated at JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Coimbatore on February 8th 2020. Dr. Raghavendra Rao, Director, Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India was invited as the Chief Guest. Shri. Mahesh. R, Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru was invited to preside over the function and Shri. Sathyan. S, Retired IAS Officer was invited as the Guest of Honour. Due to unavoidable busy schedule of Shri. Mahesh. R, he could not make it up to the Graduation Ceremony and Dr. Rajesh Udupadi, Principal, JSS Ayurveda College, Mysuru attended the ceremony on behalf of him.
The Graduation Ceremony commenced at 9-30 a.m with academic procession followed by invocation and lamp lighting. Welcome address was proposed by the Principal, Prof. Dr. Naveen G. Halappa. Administration of oath was done by the Principal. B.N.Y.S degree was awarded to the graduands by the dignitaries. A memento of organic seed pencil was presented to the graduates individually.
Dr. Raghavendra Rao gave the Graduation Day address. The gathering was motivated by his encouraging speech on the beneficial effects of Yoga related to cancer. Shri. Sathyan. S spoke about the responsibilities of a doctor towards the society which was a real treasure to the graduates. Dr. Rajesh Udupadi briefed the gathering about the importance of Naturopathy and Yoga as a drugless system of Medicine which proves effective in the treatment of non-communicable diseases. Graduates, Dr. Jenie. R and Dr. Oviya. M gave positive feedback speech regarding the activities (academic, clinical, extracurricular and outreach activities) of JSSINYS. The dignitaries were honoured by the Principal. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. M. Ezhil Ratnakumari. The Graduation Day Ceremony was concluded by National Anthem followed by group photo session. The Master of Ceremony was Dr. Jincy Sundaran. There was an academic exhibition at the college premises organized by the students. The dignitaries visited the stalls of the exhibition after the completion of Graduation Day celebration. Feast was provided to the gathering. The Programme was concluded by 12 p.m.
